China is marching toward the world's largest friction material country

After China has become the world's second largest consumer of automobiles, China's friction material industry has taken a ride and the growth of major economic indicators has doubled. It is no longer empty words to become bigger and stronger. This was revealed by Wang Yao, president of the China Friction Material Association at the 8th (Beijing) International Friction Sealing Material Technology Exchange Conference on June 9.

There is no friction on the earth. Human life will not be able to imagine. "Similarly, cars don't have brake pads made of friction materials, and the tragedies of car crashes and deaths are frequent. Friction materials are used to implement brake transmission functions for transportation vehicles and mechanical equipment. The parts and components materials, of which the automotive industry consumes more than 80% of the market share, are mainly composed of three parts: polymer binders, reinforcing fibers, and friction modifiers. Clutch discs, although not very large in automobiles, have a special role in safety protection.

In recent years, China's friction material industry has made new progress in independent innovation, and successfully developed the "high-performance carbon/carbon aerodynamic brake material preparation technology", which has enabled China to become the aviation brake material production technology after Britain, France and the United States. The country won the national first prize for major technological inventions. China's own proprietary intellectual property rights and the use of domestic raw materials for the production of friction materials has entered the high-end applications in the international market, successfully achieved the world's leading car giants the United States Daimlers - Chrysler and Ford companies supporting.

More than 200 experts from 26 countries and regions including Europe, the United States, and Japan, as well as more than 2,000 representatives from domestic friction seal materials industry participated in this session.
