Major breakthroughs in research on earthquake prediction and early warning technology in key areas of Inner Mongolia

[ Instrument Network Instrument Development ] On September 19th, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Major Project “Research and Development and Promotion of Earthquake Prediction and Early Warning Technology in Key Areas” was composed of 9 domestic experts from the Institute of Geophysics of China Earthquake Administration. The audit confirmed that the expected target was exceeded. In particular, it has made a comparison between the fine structure of the deep structure in the key areas and the latest motion state assessment, the integration of the open space stereoscopic observation system, the key technology research of the earthquake damage prevention of the urban agglomeration, the development of the mine microseismic monitoring technology and the construction of the seismic information intelligent service platform. The breakthrough has formed an all-round, multi-disciplinary and in-depth research model innovation, cross-disciplinary integration innovation and product service innovation. It has significant innovations and progress compared with domestic and foreign.
The major project of “Research and Development and Demonstration of Earthquake Prediction and Early Warning Technology in Key Areas” was initiated by the Inner Mongolia Earthquake Administration and organized by the Inner Mongolia Earthquake Engineering Research and Investigation Institute in 2016. The project team carried out technical research and demonstration applications on integrated innovation of earthquake monitoring and prediction modes, research and development of key technologies for early warning and emergency services, demonstration of urban population damage prevention technology, and impact assessment of key activities. Through the application of relevant results, the efficient operation and seamless connection of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction work have been realized, and the monitoring coverage gridding, the scale of earthquake damage prevention, and the service efficiency are practical. The scientific research output not only has academic achievements, but also applicable technologies such as application software and monitoring system, which is convenient for promotion and demonstration and application. It has played a prominent role in providing high-quality seismic safety service products to the society and promoting earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
During the implementation of the project, a total of 54 research papers (including 1 SCI paper and 3 EI papers) were published, 2 sets of software were produced, and 1 set of microseismic monitoring platform was set up; 1 set of seismic safety information intelligent service platform of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was developed; Four sets of technical standards for mine microseismic monitoring were formulated, two utility model patents were obtained, and seven software copyrights were obtained.
