"New multifunctional 1m laser ratio meter" passed national approval

The equipment manufacturing industry is a traditional and advantageous industry in Changzhou and its neighboring areas in Jiangsu Province. In recent years, it has been developing toward high-end equipment manufacturing with high technological content and high added value. This poses new and higher requirements for the accuracy, scope, and type of the “eyes” of the manufacturing industry—measurements of length geometry.
To this end, China Metrology Institute, Changzhou City, led by the Institute of Metrology, Changchun University of Science and Technology, AVIC Qingdao Outpost Precision Instrument Co., Ltd. and other units, launched the "new multi-functional 1m laser ratio meter" development. The aim is to build a multi-functional and scalable one-dimensional precision length measurement equipment and scientific research experimental platform for Changzhou and Wuxi metrology and technical organizations, and to improve the calibration of the linear scale equal length standard and other lengths in high-end manufacturing industries in the surrounding areas. Precision Measuring Service Capabilities In October 2016, the device was successfully developed.
The device realizes the measurement uncertainty of the line ruler U=(0.1+0.1L)μm (k=3,L:m), and the repeatability is better than 30nm, which has reached the domestic advanced level and can satisfy the existing line ruler. Dynamic and high-precision calibration effectively improves the level of one-dimension precision measurement capability of related metrology and technical institutions.
