The panelists, through a wealth of information and problem collection, found that there was a problem with the adsorbents used in SF6 decomposition products produced during the operation of electrical equipment. Past use of toxic SF6 adsorbent after a simple process must be buried deep pit, will cause great pollution to the environment. At the same time the treatment time-consuming and laborious, chemical reaction time-consuming usually more than 30 hours, the treatment effect is not perfect. In view of this, members of the QC team have been fully discussed, decided to develop a purification device to change the "cruel reality."

After six months of hard work, the members successfully developed the SF6 adsorbent environmental treatment device. The device through the grinding, heating, stirring, temperature monitoring, pH monitoring and water level monitoring and other functions, to promote non-toxic recovery of toxic recovery products take a solid step forward. At the same time, after commissioning of the equipment, QC team members carried out many times the actual treatment of the adsorbent, and the treatment time of 2.6-5.3 kg of adsorbent took less than 2 hours, thus reducing the number of repeated operations of adding alkali and acid and saving raw materials , Reduce the cost of operation and maintenance, improve the reliability and safety of adsorbent utilization, and have important environmental protection value and broad application prospects.

The SF6 adsorbent environmental treatment device not only can carry out the environmental protection treatment of SF6 adsorbent, but also establishes a platform for the further research on the regeneration and environmental protection treatment of SF6 adsorbent. Secondly, through in-depth study on the SF6 gas decomposition characteristics, the QC group has been strengthened to understand the SF6 gas performance, which provides a solid theoretical basis for SF6 gas monitoring and fault diagnosis in the future.

Through this research and development, the ability of QC team members to unite and collaborate and tackle key problems has been greatly improved. The team members will also make use of the results of this activity to conduct in-depth theoretical and experimental researches on the environmental treatment of SF6 adsorbents, summarize the treatment processes and develop more intelligent adsorbent treatment devices.
