China National Heavy Duty Truck Co., Ltd. Relocates to Seek Development

At the mobilization meeting and launch ceremony for the relocation and transformation of enterprises in the old city of Qingdao, Liu Peimin, Chairman of the Special Vehicle Company under the CNHTC Group, emphasized that this relocation initiative represents a crucial opportunity for enterprise repositioning and strategic product development. He also highlighted the renovation of the new Qingzhuan University, which has now become China's largest base for the research, development, production, and export of heavy-duty vehicles. Since the restructuring of CNHTC, the Special Vehicle Company has made significant progress, growing from producing and selling over 800 units to more than 10,000 vehicles annually, establishing a stronger foundation for future growth. However, due to limited space and capacity constraints, challenges such as insufficient production capacity, delayed new product launches, and slow project progress have become major obstacles that hinder further development. Currently, the Special Vehicle Company of CNHTC has been selected by Qingdao as one of the first 20 enterprises to begin relocation before the end of the year. During the mobilization meeting for the enterprise relocation and restructuring in the old city of Qingdao, Liu Peimin stated that the company will implement a comprehensive relocation plan. This includes streamlining decision-making, seeking support from higher authorities, implementing favorable policies, selecting suitable locations, planning scientifically, and carrying out the transformation with care. The company also aims to bring along its supporting parts and component suppliers, ensuring the stability of its workforce and management. By leveraging this relocation as an opportunity, the company seeks to reorient its business strategy and enhance innovation and management capabilities. Through this transformation, the company’s production capacity and overall efficiency are expected to see significant improvements. The goal is to turn the relocated Qingzhuo Specialized into the largest domestic R&D, production, and export base for heavy-duty vehicles. The relocation of Qingzhuo has drawn attention from local officials and leaders in Qingdao. During the event, Yan Qijun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, met with Liu Peimin. He praised the company’s achievements and encouraged enterprises to seize the opportunities provided by the city’s relocation policy to accelerate their development. As a key enterprise in the province, he hopes Qingzhuo will lead by example in the relocation and reconstruction process. Liu Peimin expressed his commitment to successfully completing the relocation and driving the company’s continued growth, contributing to a win-win outcome for the relocation of old enterprises, industrial restructuring of the city, and the development of the county economy.
