Eight peak pharmaceutical new technology to manage methionine waste liquid
The newly developed "L-methionine secondary synthesis" technology by Hubei Co., Ltd. has successfully passed the scientific and technological achievement evaluation organized by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology at the end of last week. A panel of experts reviewed the process and recognized its energy-saving and emission-reducing features, highlighting that it brings significant economic and environmental benefits. The technology has been rated as advanced within the domestic industry.
Previously, the company faced challenges in recycling L-methionine from rectified waste liquids, leading to increased environmental pressure. In June of last year, Hubei Co., Ltd. formed a dedicated task force to explore waste recovery and reuse solutions. The new process utilizes the rectified waste liquid as a key raw material for L-methionine synthesis, effectively turning waste into value. This innovation not only achieves zero wastewater discharge but also reduces the annual production cost of L-methionine by 820,000 yuan. Additionally, the project generated an extra 2.1 million yuan in economic benefits for the eight pharmacological peaks involved.
Hefeng Pharmaceutical's production of L-methionine is a nationally recognized key new product, endorsed by five ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Science and Technology. More than 75% of the product is exported internationally, showcasing the company's strong market presence and commitment to sustainable development.
