According to the CNHTC technical personnel on site, CNHTC's natural gas engine ECU control system used in the MT13 natural gas engine is a CFV (continuous flow) electronically controlled gas system produced by Econtrol, which makes the MT13 natural gas engine in the gas economy. Sex, environmental protection, and smooth operation have performed very well.

In terms of fuel combustion, the CFV electronically controlled gas system allows natural gas engines to achieve lean burn. The lean combustion can not only increase the combustion thermal efficiency of natural gas by about 15% compared with the conventional combustion process, but also reduce the internal combustion temperature of the engine by more than 100°C. This not only enables the MT13 natural gas engine to achieve the same output power as competing products with less fuel consumption during operation, but also effectively extends the service life of the oil and reduces NOx emissions due to lower combustion temperatures. This will improve the economics, reliability and emissions of the MT13 natural gas engine.

This can effectively reduce the engine vibration caused by uneven fuel supply between individual cylinders, single cylinder knocking, etc. .

Compared with the conventional gray cast iron cylinder material, vermicular graphite cast iron has better mechanical properties.
