WISCO heavy rail hardness quality has been greatly improved
In early March, WISCO achieved a significant technological breakthrough in the quenching electric control cabinet of its large-scale heavy-duty processing line. This advancement led to a remarkable 78% reduction in failure time for the export heavy rail processing line, while also significantly boosting processing capacity and improving the hardness quality of the rails.
Since February, the processing line equipment had been operating at full load for an extended period, leading to an increase in operational failures. Specifically, four quenching electromechanical control cabinets experienced malfunctions, causing production stoppages and putting considerable pressure on the export heavy rail manufacturing process. In response, the large-scale factory quickly deployed professional technicians to monitor the entire process.
After thorough investigation, the team identified that the intermediate frequency voltage regulation board in the quenching control cabinet was damaged, and the quenching coil had burned out. The technician repaired the intermediate frequency voltage regulation board in the No. 4 quenching control cabinet and made bold innovations by improving the original adjustment board connector. Instead of using traditional replacement methods, they opted for a more efficient approach, welding over 200 components and conducting multiple on-site debuggings. Eventually, the issue was successfully resolved.
It is reported that based on these successful improvements, the plant has now begun upgrading the remaining three quenching electromechanical control cabinets. This initiative not only saves more than 200,000 yuan annually in spare parts costs but also helps further enhance the output and quality of exported heavy rails, ensuring greater efficiency and reliability in the long term.
