Diesel injection technology: Increasing fuel injection pressure is the key to reducing emissions of engine nitrogen oxides and solid particulates. The greater the injection pressure, the more adequate the fuel atomization, and the higher the degree of mixing with the air in the cylinder. Bosch is working to increase the injection pressure of the diesel system to 2,700 bar to ensure that the fuel is fully burned.

Fuel injection rate digital control technology: This new type of diesel technology can simultaneously achieve significant reductions in emissions, fuel consumption, and noise. Different from the currently used pre-injection and main-injection technologies, the system divides the fuel injection process into many times, each time with a small amount of injection, and the time interval between each injection is very short, making the combustion process more gentle and sufficient.

Gasoline direct injection technology: Bosch increased the fuel injection pressure in the gasoline engine to 350 bar, improved the fuel atomization rate and oil and gas mixing efficiency, reduced the formation of film on the inner wall of the cylinder, and shortened the injection time. Compared to injection systems with a fuel injection pressure of 200 bar, direct gasoline injection systems greatly reduce particulate emissions. When the engine is in a high-load running state, that is, when the car suddenly accelerates or operates at a high speed, the advantage of the injection system with a fuel pressure of 350 bar will be more prominent.

Turbocharging technology: The engine's air system is critical to the vehicle's ability to meet stringent emission regulations. By carefully tuning the turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation, and electronic control unit, the vehicle can drastically reduce emissions (including nitrogen oxide emissions) during actual driving. In the European driving cycle, this technology can further effectively reduce oil consumption by 2% to 3%.

Variable Section Turbocharging System: Bosch Müller Turbocharging Systems GmbH (BMTS) has developed a new generation of variable area turbocharging system that can withstand continuous high temperatures of up to 900 degrees Celsius without deformation, allowing the engine to further increase Performance, reducing fuel consumption, is a major technological breakthrough. The technical principle of this system can be widely used not only in gasoline engines, but also in diesel engines, reducing the vane clearance and improving the working efficiency of the variable turbocharger. At the same time, BMTS is also committed to developing a turbocharged system that can withstand high temperatures of 980 degrees Celsius.

Interconnected powertrain: a new way to reduce fuel consumption and reduce emissions

Interconnected particulate matter capture system: Through interconnect technology, Bosch connects the electronic horizon system with the particulate matter catcher system, which can be automatically adjusted according to the front road information obtained by the former. For example, when a car is driving on a freeway, the particulate matter capture system only needs to operate on demand, thereby achieving energy conservation and emission reductions; and when it encounters congested road sections, it turns on the full operation mode.

Predictive Powertrain Electrification: Intelligent car navigation systems, including the electronic horizon system, provide real-time information on the road ahead, such as predicting whether there are commercial areas or congested road segments within a few kilometers ahead. If so, the powertrain electrification system can be automatically recharged to ensure that it can pass through the front or park off the road in full capacity, zero emission mode. In addition, these navigation data can also be used to update real-time traffic information online, allowing owners to know in advance which road sections are congested and whether there are temporary construction sites.

Active throttle pedal: Bosch active throttle pedal can tell the owner the most fuel-efficient pedal position through the tactile signal, which can effectively reduce fuel consumption by 7%. If the vehicle is equipped with a driver assistance system such as an adaptive cruise control system, the pedal can also serve as an alarm indicator. For example, during the high-speed driving of vehicles, the latest Bosch driver assistance system can identify road signs through camera technology. For example, it indicates that there is a bend in front, the accelerator pedal will vibrate, and the vehicle owner will be warned.

Electrification Technology: Continuously upgraded power management system allows cars to easily move further

Lithium-ion battery technology: Electric vehicles must drastically reduce prices before they are expected to enter millions of households in the next few years. The price reduction of the battery is an important part of this: Bosch expects that the energy density of the battery in 2020 will reach twice the current price, and the price will be reduced by half. In order to develop next-generation lithium-ion batteries, Bosch has partnered with Japanese GS Yuasa and Mitsubishi Group to establish a joint venture called Lithium Energy and Power.

Battery Management System: Bosch is committed to using a variety of ways to promote the development and application of high-performance battery systems. Among them, Bosch's intelligent battery management system provides comprehensive monitoring and control of the batteries in the battery system, thereby increasing the range of the vehicle by 10%.

Electric Vehicle Thermal Management: Increasing battery capacity is not the only way to increase the mileage of an electric vehicle. The power consumption of air-conditioning and heating equipment in electric vehicles cannot be underestimated. Their power consumption also limits the mileage. In response to this problem, Bosch has developed an intelligent thermal management system consisting of controllable pumps and valves that can collect cold air and heat from energy sources such as power electronics systems, thereby significantly increasing energy efficiency and allowing vehicle mileage. Increase by 25%. In winter, the heat accumulated by the system can heat the cabin, reducing the electricity consumption of the original 60% of the interior heating.

Energy Recovery Acceleration Assist System BRS (48-Volt Hybrid Technology): At the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, Bosch will exhibit the second-generation 48-volt hybrid system. This improved entry-level electrification solution can reduce fuel consumption by up to 15% and provide additional torque of 150 Newton meters. The system integrates the drive motor into the gearbox, which separates the drive motor from the internal combustion engine, allowing them to independently power the vehicle. Using this technology, the vehicle can park in full electric mode, and can also achieve short-distance pure electric driving in stop-and-go traffic jams.

Towards automatic driving: emergency avoidance, automatic steering, or automatic driving in congested sections

Avoidance Steering Aid: This technology uses radar and video sensors to detect and estimate obstacles ahead and actively intervenes in steering operations to help drivers avoid obstacles. It can help inexperienced drivers complete evasive action, complete the maximum turn faster than manual operation by up to 25%, and protect his safety in extremely complex situations.

Auxiliary turning assistance: When turning, it is easy for the driver to ignore the vehicle coming from the opposite side. This function monitors the traffic situation with two radar sensors in front of the vehicle. If the distance from the opposite vehicle is too small to turn, the system will prevent the vehicle from moving on. Or when an oncoming vehicle is about to collide, the system will perform automatic emergency braking and stop turning at the same time.

Traffic jam assistance: The system is based on sensors and integrates adaptive cruise control and lane keeping support. When the road is congested, the system will automatically follow the car at a speed of up to 60 km/h. The system can control the automatic acceleration and braking of the vehicle and can keep the vehicle in the lane by intervening steering operations. The driver only needs to monitor the system and the burden on driving the vehicle will be greatly reduced.

Freeway cruising: Based on sensors that can reliably monitor the entire surroundings of the car body, highly accurate and real-time map data, and a powerfully interconnected control unit, the system can replace the driver to fully control the vehicle on the freeway and is highly automated. The function. Once the vehicle enters the freeway, the driver can activate this function and enjoy relaxation. When the freeway trip ends, the system will also warn the driver to remind them to be ready to take over the vehicle again. Bosch currently tests this function on public roads with specific matching models. If necessary amendments are made to the existing laws and regulations (the road traffic provisions of the Vienna Convention, UNECE Regulation R79), freeway cruising will be mass-produced by 2020.

Stereo camera: Bosch stereo camera optical axis spacing between the two lenses is only 12 cm, is the smallest volume of similar products used in cars. It can identify pedestrians and traffic signs, determine whether the road is unblocked, and provide a single sensor solution for multiple driver assistance systems. The Bosch Stereo Camera has become standard on the Jaguar XE and Land Rover Discovery Sport series, enabling AEB city, AEB inter-urban. At the auto show held at the New Mobility World, Bosch teamed up with Jaguar and Land Rover to demonstrate a prototype solution based on this stereo camera, which can implement pedestrian protection, building area assistance, and calculate the height of the vehicle when encountering tunnels and bridges. Can pass safely.

Intelligent Parking Technology: Automatically Finding Empty Parking Spaces, Realizing Safe Parking, or Automatic Parking

Active parking management system: This system makes it easier for the driver to find a parking space and helps the car park administrator improve the parking space utilization. The road sensor will indicate whether the parking space has been occupied and transmit the information wirelessly to the server. The data is then updated in the real-time map. Drivers can view real-time maps on smartphones or online, select empty spaces and navigate to their destinations.

Community Parking Positioning System: Parking spaces on both sides of the road are often very difficult to find in downtown areas and many residential areas. Bosch Community Park Positioning System can effectively solve this problem. The car passes the sensors of the parking aid system and can identify and measure the gap between vehicles parked on both sides of the road and record the information and convert it into a digital map. The system will use intelligent information processing to further confirm the data to predict the parking situation. Nearby vehicles can view digital maps in real time and navigate owners to appropriate parking spaces. Once the size of the empty parking space is determined, the system will also be able to find a suitable parking space for a specific model, such as a small car or a caravan-integrated camper. The more users use community parking systems, the more specific the digital map information will be, and the faster and more timely the update will be.

Multi-camera system: This system is composed of four close-range cameras installed on the vehicle. Each camera has a 190-degree wide-angle lens that can capture the entire environment around the vehicle and provide the driver with a full range of vision when parking. Based on advanced visualization technology, the display presents high-fidelity, distortion-free 3D images. The driver can also select any viewing angle according to the situation, and small obstacles in the parking area will also be clearly visible.

Automatic parking: Automatic valet parking not only helps drivers find parking spaces, but also enables them to park their own cars. The driver only needs to get off at the entrance to the parking lot. The smartphone app guides the vehicle to find a parking space on its own and can then direct the vehicle back to the drop-off point along the original route. The realization of automatic parking needs to meet certain conditions: smart parking infrastructure, body sensors, and the interconnection of the two, so as to achieve the interconnection of vehicles and parking. Bosch is developing all the components needed for indoor automatic parking.

Bosch Visualization and Interconnect Solutions: A Safer, More Efficient and More Convenient Driving Experience

Display system: With the application of in-vehicle navigation systems, new sensors and cameras, and Internet technology, a lot of information will emerge in the driver's field of vision. Therefore, smart display systems must prioritize the information so that key information is presented on the display system as efficiently as needed. Bosch has developed a freely programmable display system solution that eliminates mechanical information processing methods in the past and flexibly processes information according to real-time conditions and presents it on an HD display. The system can be used in conjunction with Bosch's head-up display system, allowing critical information to be presented directly to the driver.

Innovative user interface: Bosch introduced an innovative user interface that not only visually and acoustically interacts but also incorporates tactile elements. When a car owner uses a touch screen, he or she will get tactile feedback similar to pressing a real button, and it is necessary to continue pushing the virtual button hard to start the program. As a result, the driver no longer needs to look to confirm whether he chooses to be successful, thereby reducing driving interference.

Electronic horizon system: The existing electronic horizon system can provide curve inclination and curvature data to complement the lack of navigation data. On this basis, the latest generation of electronic horizon systems has also added real-time dynamic data related to traffic jams, accidents and construction sites through interconnection technologies, allowing drivers to more clearly grasp the road conditions in front and ensure driving safety.

mySPIN Smartphone Connected Solution: With the safe driving design concept, strong mobile compatibility (supporting both iOS and Android), rich APP resources and high customization for auto manufacturers, mySPIN system has won the favor of many car owners. . While driving, the owner can still use his favorite mobile phone application easily, and can operate and manage on the on-board monitor. In order to minimize interference and ensure driving safety, the system has streamlined these applications, allowing it only to display traffic-related information, and has all been specifically tested in the driving scene.

Wrong way warning: According to driver feedback, there are about 2000 cases of wrong roads in Germany each year. In most cases, when the owner is reminded to open the wrong road, he has already traveled about 500 meters in the wrong direction. This delay sometimes has serious consequences. Bosch has developed a cloud-based misroute reminder system. It is a pure software module that can be integrated into existing car entertainment information systems or related applications.
