1, check the battery

Before use, check the condition of the rechargeable battery. Set the function switch (FUNCTION) to BAT, TEST “A”. If the battery is in good condition, display 100 or more on the LCD panel (ignore any decimal point when checking the battery) and use it for 12 hours continuously.

Turn the FUNCTION switch to BAT.TEST "B". This location tests the analyzer amplifier battery. This set of alkaline batteries powers the sensor and stays ready whether the analyzer is on or off. For safety reasons, it is best to replace the battery before the LCD shows below 100.

2. Alarm setting

Usually the factory sets the alarm to 50% of the full scale and the alarm can be reset by the following methods.

(1) Set the function switch (FUNCTION) to zero (ZERO). Turn the "zero" knob to make the LCD display the required alarm concentration value.

(2) Turn the alarm setting (ALARMSET) clockwise until the "alarm lamp flashes." If the alarm value is already active, turn the ALARMSET button counterclockwise until the alarm value does not move, and then turn clockwise to return the alarm light just flashing.

3, the instrument zero

The instrument often requires on-site zeroing prior to use. The zero adjustment is performed in SAMPLE mode. The sample space uses a Type C12 filter to filter the gas to zero.

4, sampling gas

Set the function switch (FUNCTION) to the SAMPLE position to activate the pump and place the analyzer in the sample gas mode.

After the instrument is stable, the concentration of formaldehyde gas is displayed, and the sample flow rate is approximately 1 litre/minute.
