Tianji implements equipment condition monitoring and overhaul

Tianji Group has integrated its accumulated experience in equipment management over recent years. Through the pilot operations of its two manufacturing subsidiaries, the company has actively promoted a comprehensive equipment management model this year — one that combines scheduled maintenance with time-based monitoring and condition-based maintenance. This initiative has significantly enhanced the overall level of equipment management across the entire organization. Currently, many chemical companies rely on traditional time-based planned maintenance strategies. While this approach is structured, it often leads to unnecessary resource consumption and inefficiencies. In contrast, Tianji's new equipment management model focuses on implementing planned maintenance for critical equipment, while adopting condition monitoring and predictive maintenance for secondary equipment that performs well. This allows for timely maintenance scheduling, ensuring the safe and stable operation of machinery while reducing labor and financial costs. To ensure the effectiveness of this approach, Tianji has established strict guidelines for which equipment will be monitored and maintained based on condition. These include main production line equipment with one active and multiple standby units, equipment that has not experienced major incidents in the past three years, and specific types of pumps such as single-stage cantilever centrifugal pumps, low-power multi-stage pumps (with axial power under 12 kW), and plunger pumps. Additionally, fan equipment like single-stage centrifugal fans, multi-stage centrifugal fans, and Roots blowers are also included in the program. In addition to defining the scope of condition monitoring, Tianji has also developed detailed implementation plans and performance evaluation criteria to ensure consistency and accountability across all departments. This structured yet flexible approach is helping the company achieve greater efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve long-term operational sustainability.
