Here's what John Tulipano had to say: For once, I was in the right place at the right time—but it turned out to be a small fire. On April 18th, 2014, around 8:50 AM, Glenside Fire Department was called to a reported dryer fire at 644 Burdette in Glendale Heights. I was just two blocks away on North Ave and Glen Ellyn Road when the call came in. As I drove toward the address, DuComm reported that everyone was out of the house and flames were coming from the dryer. I passed by the home and saw the homeowner and kids outside as I pulled over. The Glendale Heights police were arriving behind me. Engine 58 and Medic 59 showed up about two minutes later. They stretched a 1-3/4 inch attack line and quickly brought the fire under control as more units arrived. In my rush to get set up, I forgot to check my ISO setting and ended up taking all the photos at 2500 (which was slightly overexposed—thank goodness for RAW files and Lightroom!).
