Working fire in Chicago, 1-31-22
Last night, Battalion 19 responded to a working fire at 5845 S. Carpenter Street. Engine 116 arrived on scene to find a two-story red brick and gray stone building with heavy fire coming from the second floor. Upon arrival, 116 immediately deployed the deck gun and sent out two 2.5-inch lines along with Engines 84 and 50. The crews initially took a defensive approach before making an interior entry to knock down hot spots and finish the job.
