The requirements of environmental protection for power development provide a broad development prospect and space for the development of IGCC power generation technology. As a replacement technology for coal-fired power plants in the 21st century, clean coal power generation technology is an important choice for sustainable development of electricity.

0 Foreword China is a big coal producing country and one of the few countries in the world that uses coal as its main energy source. This makes China's energy have two distinct characteristics: First, coal accounts for a large proportion of primary energy production and consumption; second, China's generator sets are mainly coal-fired units, accounting for about 75% of the total installed capacity. The exploitation of coal leads to serious air pollution. China's SO2 power system automation major, associate professor's emissions rank first in the world, C2 emissions rank second in the world, acid rain coverage area has reached 30% of the country's land area. State Environmental Protection Administration Director Xie Zhenhua pointed out: during the fifteenth period, Environmental governance must follow the path of marketization. "The environmental protection related to the power system is to reduce the emission of S2 by 20% in the SO2 control area and the acid rain control area. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt some independence for the sulfur removal of power plants. The policy is to adopt some punitive policies for non-desulfurization."

Because China's primary energy is mainly coal, the dominant position of coal in the primary energy structure determines that the coal-based pattern in power production will not change for a long time. Therefore, the power industry must improve the environmental characteristics of power plants and improve energy efficiency by developing clean coal technologies. GCC (Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cy-cle) power generation technology, as one of the clean coal power generation technologies, has the following advantages: high thermal efficiency, current efficiency has reached 43% to 46%, and 21% can reach 50% to 52% in the 21st century. Water-saving, water consumption is only about 50% of conventional coal-fired power stations; fuel adaptability is wide, can use a large number of high-sulfur coal that can not be burned by conventional units; good environmental performance, coal desulfurization rate can reach 98% only 1A5~1/30 of conventional coal-fired units, Nox emissions are equivalent to natural gas, CO2 emissions are very small, dust emissions are almost zero; combined production capacity is large, in addition to power generation, it can also produce sulfur, argon and other products. To make full use of coal, which is conducive to reducing production costs; it can also be used for the transformation of fuel combined cycle units and old coal-fired power plants.

1IGCC power generation technology IGCC is a kind of gas which is partially oxidized in a high temperature and high pressure gas furnace and converted into a gaseous fuel containing CO and H2 as main gases, and then the gas refining device is used to eliminate harmful components such as sulfur and dust in the gasification gas. The clean gas is supplied to the gas turbine for power generation, and the exhaust heat of the gas turbine is recovered by the recovery furnace to generate steam, which drives the combined power generation technology of the steam turbine to generate electricity.

The main system of IGCC power generation mainly consists of a coal gasifier, a gas refining device, and a combined power generation facility.

1.1 Coal gasification technology The types and characteristics of coal gasifiers are shown in Table 1.

The composition and heat generation of the generated gas are different depending on the gasifying agent used. When air is used as the gasifying agent, the calorific value of the generated gas is relatively low, which is 4187 k/m 3 (LHV). When oxygen is used as the gasifying agent, the calorific value of the generated gas is relatively high, and is 10 468 k/m 3 (LHV). In addition, the gasification agent is different, the composition of the gas and the calorific value are related to the form of the gasifier, the gasification temperature and pressure, the nature of the raw coal, the flow characteristics of the ash, the melting temperature, the type of the gasifying agent, and the gas generation. The use varies from place to place.

1.2 Gas refining technology The product specification required for the gas refining unit must meet the inlet condition limits and environmental emission requirements for gas turbine fuel. The gas refining device is composed of a gas refining device that removes harmful components and a dust removing device that removes dust. There are two types of gas refining methods, the wet method and the dry method. The wet method is a practical gas refining technology which is advantageous for ensuring the reliability and environmental protection of the gas turbine operation because it can remove the alkali metal and ammonia. However, due to the sensible heat loss of the gas, the thermal efficiency is not high. The dry method is processed at high temperature, and the gas has less sensible heat loss, which is beneficial to the improvement of efficiency, and is currently in the stage of technology development. The performance comparison of various wet desulfurization treatments is shown in Table 2.

Japan and the United States are conducting research and development of dry desulfurization methods, and Table 3 shows dry desulfurization.

2.2 Development of the system in Japan As a gasification system for the air supply system, it was confirmed that the basic technology was established as the IGCX system, and various critical conditions (fuel calorific value, etc.) were confirmed, and the proportionally expanded data was grasped. According to the test results, the thermal efficiency of the method for gas refining is confirmed. In the conceptual design, the efficiency of the IGCC transmission end using the 1 300C gas turbine is 43% or more. The economical environmental characteristics are more expensive than the pulverized coal fired thermal power unit, and the construction cost must be reduced. In the national “Ninth Five-Year Plan” key scientific and technological research projects, under the premise of focusing on environmental protection, energy conservation and sustainable development in the power industry, comprehensive and in-depth research on IGCC power generation technology has been carried out. The research results of the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" have made the overall technical level of China's IGCC leap to a new level. The research on the characteristics of IGCC thermal system has achieved remarkable results, and proposed new ideas for synchronous optimization of process and parameters, and developed software suitable for actual analysis and evaluation of engineering.
