2-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 7-15-17

This message comes from Eric Haak:

Engine 47 arrived at 6416 S. Cottage Grove Avenue around 4:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 15th, and reported significant fire on the second floor and extending through the roof. They immediately requested a "box" for additional support. Just ten minutes later, Battalion 5 confirmed that the fire was still intense through the roof and that they had to go fully defensive. The incident was later upgraded to a 2-11 alarm. A similar 2-11 alarm occurred in the building next door on July 8, 2012, and you can view photos of that event in the archives of this site.
