Historic Photo Gallery Now Live for Sauk Village Fire Department The website currently features 128 fire departments, including the Chicago Fire Department. Most of these departments have current station photos and images of every vehicle assigned to their stations. From the beginning, the goal of the contributors has been to add historical photos to each department’s profile, giving users a full view of their past and present. Today, we took a major step forward by launching a new historic photo gallery dedicated to the Sauk Village Fire Department (MABAS Division 27). This gallery is now live and includes 18 images provided by Bill Friedrich, showcasing the evolution of the department’s vehicles from 1969 onwards. The photos reveal that the department's trucks were originally red, then switched to white, and are now black over red. Bill is already working on scanning more slides and negatives, with plans to expand this collection to other departments in the future.
