Ferrara Fire Apparatus recently completed the delivery of a versatile medium-duty rescue vehicle to the Melrose Park Fire Department. This state-of-the-art unit is mounted on a robust Freightliner M2106 chassis and comes equipped with a retractable light tower, a comprehensive set of rescue tools, and ample storage space for multiple high-pressure air cylinders. Interestingly, last year, Ferrara missed delivering two Intruder 2 engines to another department; however, they have since caught up with their commitments. These Intruder 2 engines utilize the HME 1871 cab and chassis design, boasting 1500 GPM pumps and holding up to 500 gallons of firefighting water.
